SUPPLIES LIST
Paper:
1 Watercolor pad EACH:
- 140 lbs cold press (rough)
- 140 lbs hot press (smooth)
Paints:
.25 Fl oz. (or a size you are comfortable with)
*I prefer Grumbacher or Winsor Newton brands of paint. But if you have a different professional brand already, that’s fine. If you use paint that is cheap or “student” then you will not get the results you desire.
Sap Green Yellow Ochre
Permanent green Raw Sienna
Cadmium Red Burnt Umber
Cadmium Red light Raw Umber
Alizarin Crimson Paynes Gray
Cadmium Yellow light Ivory Black
Cadmium Yellow medium Chinese White
1 – 8 oz container for water
Paper Towels
1 roll Masking tape or Frisket (Duck brand or Scotch brand (white or cream colored.) No colored tape,
1 – 16″x 20″ foam core board or other board of choice.
*Foam core may be found at the Dollar Store or Wal-Mart.
Brushes
Masters Touch brand (Hobby Lobby) (if you have extra change, Kolinsky (the best) or Vermeer brands) *or any synthetic sable
- #½” or 1“ flat brush (for washes)
- # 8 round
- # 4 round
OPTIONAL
A few watercolor pencils are good to have for some details: Reds, Blues, Ochre or Sepia tones
