History

In October, 2002, a small group of local artists and supporters met to discuss the need for art advocacy in Tyler County. On February 19, 2003, Tyler County Art League, Inc. became a reality. The organization has grown from the founding membership of eight to over three hundred. The objective of TCAL is to promote interest and knowledge of art as well as to provide a forum for exhibiting the work of its members.

On October 3, 2003, TCAL's Fine Art Gallery was opened. The facility is located at 210 W. Bluff in Woodville, Texas and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM; and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Gallery is recognized for offering original, affordable and quality art.
