CSI Happenings
(Create, Share, Inspire)
We have survived the cold weather and are looking forward to Spring. We have had new members join our painting group and are so grateful. As we look at them we remember how it was when we first starting painting, we do speak a different language and I am sure they will do just fine.
We are excited about the Dogwood Festival and Western Weekend coming up in March. We will be setting up beautiful art work in the Emporium for everyone to view, so please come in for a visit and maybe you will find something that you might want to bring home. We will be there 9 am - 3 pm Saturday, March 22, and Saturday, March 29. We are very excited about having this beautiful space to display our art and we invite everyone to come and see the variety of freshly finished work.
Thought you might like to know that most all of our group is not originally from Woodville. As the saying goes we got here just as fast as we could. Some are originally from Beaumont, Alexandria, Vidor, Jasper, and many other places. We are connected by art and you can feel the true heart-warming care and compassion we have for one another.
A big “thank you” to Lynnette Bryce, who instructed us in February. She drives from Call to assist us with our art, not only does she have patience but a really big heart. Jean Humphrey will assist students with the whole range of artwork in March, which includes drawing, watercolor, oils, and pastel. Who could ask for more.
With Spring on the way it is camping time again. Painting out-of-doors is what fuels us as artists. We might forget food items or pots and pans, but we have all the art supplies required for outdoor painting.
Have a happy Spring! We are going to.
Sincerely,
Jane Martin
